CROUCH END NEIGHBOURHOOD FORUM 2022 AGM
SATURDAY 16th JULY 3.00 – 4.30 PM
UNION CHURCH & COMMUNITY CENTRE downstairs hall, Weston Park N8 9PX
Ever get the feeling a few environmental improvements to Crouch End might be a good thing — or attempting to locate a few new housing schemes that people can actually afford would be worthwhile?
Perhaps a new town square or an arts centre in a disused Town Hall might be welcome, or a scheme to upgrade the town centre’s inadequate pavements, improve transport, or plant a few more trees and secure better stewardship of heritage assets? Of course it may just be trying to protect some cherished local buildings from developers or seeing a Library Square with the fencing removed . . .
If so, do come to our Annual General Meeting, our first in-person meet for sometime. Things may have been a tad quiet during the pandemic, but we hope to form a revitalised Forum with some new volunteers. Now is a good time to get involved.
In addition to reporting on key issues and developments in Crouch End we’ll be electing a new Executive Committee (details below) and welcoming the new cohort of councillors:
- Time + Space Co., the team bringing Hornsey Town Hall back to life, will be presenting on the long awaited and soon-to-open Arts Centre. It’s the biggest happening in Crouch End in years, come with questions.
- We’ll be asking how Crouch End should spend £100s of thousands of Community Infrastructure Levy funds.
- We’ll be discussing ideas for the Crouch End Neighbourhood Plan, including design codes, setting objectives and policies for the town centre, the local environment, local heritage, and local housing priorities
- We’ve invited the Local Area Coordinator of Haringey Council’s Connected Communities Team, an initiative to improve access to council and voluntary support in Haringey.
To help us manage numbers please register for a free ticket through Eventbrite (but you can still fetch up on the day). Hope to see you there. Note — refreshments 2.45, for a 3pm start.
