Executive Committee Meeting – April 4th 2016

The second Crouch End Neighbourhood Forum Executive Committee meeting approaches with another generous agenda and a prompt start!

The first item is a chance to to meet Haringey’s planners and find out more about an evidence based approach to writing the Neighbourhood Plan for Crouch End as well as how to access relevant information for Haringey documents and policies.

We will also be able to discuss how far we have got with organising our six Working Groups and what needs to be done:

Design and character – design, conservation & heritage, public realm, accessibility, development design, shopfronts.

Housing – housing supply, mix & quality.

Environment – environmental sustainability, nature conservation, green & open spaces.

Transport – traffic, public transport, parking, cycling, walking, getting around.

Economy – economic activity, employment, shopping, town centres, leisure, art & culture, regeneration.

Social and community – public infrastructure, health, education, child care, public houses, cultural facilities.

 

The next major item is hearing from Angela Koch of Imagine Places and then discussing our Making Day. This will be work towards out first milestone – the weekends of the Crouch End Festival in June – when we have the opportunity to engage with many hundreds of Crouch Enders. Within the item we will also discuss our publicity material and communications.

There’ll be a report on whether we adopt Basecamp/Trello, and discussion on several issues that we have responded to, including the huge Wood Green Area Action Plan and ideas for design document for the Hornsey Town Hall public square.

All thoughts and ideas are welcome, and as ever, meetings are open to all Crouch Enders. The relevant documents will be made available.
