Website definition – comments please

We need a few things for our new website currently being designed. They are in the list below. Please reply with your suggestions or send them by email to crouchendforum@gmail.com
1. Images. I know that several of you have photographs of the area, important local buildings and events, shopfronts, etc. Please can I ask you to make these available for the website. We are not sure yet exactly how they will be used, but having a stock will help us decide. I feel sure that, if you wish, some form of attribution/copyright can be applied each time an image is used.
2. Wireframe. This does not imply that the website is made out of a bent coathanger, but that we need to create a skeleton structure from which to hang our pages and blogs. For instance the Highgate NF website uses the headings
Home About  News  Plan  Evidence Reference Contact  and Search. Check their website to see what is beneath each of these headings. What do we need? Please let me know. The headings will not be fixed for ever, but it would be nice to have a good first stab.
3. Specific functionalities. I would suggest
  • a search function which finds search terms within the site
  • something which invites comment on each published item, and possibly replies to these comments
  • a calendar, from which the next 5 items appear on the site front page
  • a list of the five most recent items updated on the site
  • a sign up to the mailchimp circulation list / facebook page / twitter follower
  • an RSS feed of new items
  • a countdown function showing how many days to ? something, e.g. a public workshop, a cabinet meeting or other important event in the life of the forum
I look forward to your comments.
